About Fiona

Fiona has built a career on helping people get through the tougher parts of life. She is experienced in supporting people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, worry and rumination, emotion regulation, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, trauma, and problematic gambling. Fiona also works across two public hospitals with people from diverse backgrounds with chronic illness and pain, cancer, health-related anxiety, and weight issues, and enjoys supporting clients in these areas in private practice as well. She has also previously worked in a community mental health service, coordinating care for people with more severe mental health support needs, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Fiona understands that starting therapy can be daunting. She believes it is important to create a space where clients feel comfortable to start exploring challenging thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Fiona takes the time to get to know each person who walks through her door, including their current lifestyle, goals for therapy, and existing strengths. Compassion, humanity, connection, and trust are at the centre of Fiona’s practice, and with these as a foundation she hopes to empower clients to make their desired changes in life.
