About Clancy
I am a Clinical Psychologist of 20 years who works with people to alleviate symptoms and build a life that feels satisfying to them. I treat the most common mental health conditions, such as a range of anxiety disorders and depression, and have particular interest in treating OCD, nightmares, and high performance related issues. More about conditions I treat is outlined below. My approach is infused with openness, curiosity, humour and compassion. Traditional CBT and specific iterations such as ERP and ACT, are integrated with Schema Therapy. Motivational Interviewing, Dignity Therapy and DBT skills are incorporated where appropriate. Our work would be informed by attachment and psychodynamic principles, which means that insights from your past will help us move towards your goals. It also means the relationship you and I form is central to our collaboration and you can expect me to really be there for you in every session. I offer a 15-20 minute pre-booking call so that before you spend time and money on a session, you can get a sense of whether we might work well together. It also gives me a chance to verify that I have the right skill set help you so we're off to a good start from the beginning. Please note that there appears to be an error in the rebate shown below. With a Mental Health Plan from your GP or psychiatrist you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
