About Ashley

Ashley is a warm and grounded clinical psychology registrar who helps clients to practically manage challenges they face and improve their wellbeing. He works with adults facing mood and anxiety disorders, interpersonal and relationship challenges, grief and loss, perfectionism, substance and behavioural addictions such as gambling, and adult ADHD.

He has gained diverse clinical experience working in settings including telehealth clinics, community-based disability services, and non-profit organisations. He draws on a flexible combination of evidence-based treatment modalities to tailor therapy to his clients’ individual needs, including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.

Ashley also draws from his work on sleep issues at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, as well as his master’s degree research on social anxiety and substance use to inform his clinical practice. His clinical work and research help him to adapt treatment to address his clients’ complex needs in an integrated way.
