About Kate
Kate brings warmth, empathy and patience to her clients and is committed to creating a safe therapeutic space. Kate works from a trauma-informed framework that prioritises choice and empowerment. She places the person at the centre of their care and values authenticity, viewing the therapeutic relationship as a key vehicle for change. Kate has a particular interest in helping clients to make meaning of their experiences and build practical skills for everyday life.
Kate takes an eclectic approach to practice to combine evidence-based treatment with the individual needs of the client. Kate has training and experience in delivering Schema Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Kate also takes a parts-work approach to practice to help clients at all stages of therapy readiness, including those requiring acute crisis support and those looking for longer-term therapy. She emphasises an attachment‑informed approach to practice, and strategies for restoring connection and managing interpersonal stressors.
Kate offers psychological therapy to adults online via telehealth, as well as neuroaffirming and trauma-informed ADHD and autism assessments.
