About Gissia

Hi,

I am an educational and developmental psychologist with a particular interest in childhood, adolescent, and adult mental health, resilience building, and positive well-being. I practise from my clinic and provide specialised support to clients of all ages, empowering them to work through and achieve their treatment goals in a caring and safe environment.

I work within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focused Therapy, and other psychological frameworks, which are well-researched psychological intervention modalities. I also use sandplay therapy to assist young children in communicating and resolving emotional, behavioural, and social issues.

One of my favourite quotes reminds us, “Tough times never last, but tough people do!” — Robert Schuller. Even the toughest people reach out for help. We can't heal in isolation. I can help you identify your strengths, develop healthier self-beliefs and enhance your resilience to navigate difficult times and create your path to happiness.
